The short version

We are a small business. We collect only what we need to sell you our books and guides, deliver them to you, and — only if you say yes — send you useful emails. We never sell or rent your data to anyone. You can unsubscribe with one click, and you can ask us to show, correct, or delete your data any time. The rest of this page is the same promise, in the detail the law asks for.

1. Who we are

This website, pradivyam.com, is operated by Madhup Kulshrestha. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we are the Data Fiduciary — the person responsible for your personal data and for answering your requests about it. You can reach us at pradivyams@gmail.com.

2. What we collect, and why

When you buy something. At checkout we collect your name, email address, phone number and billing address, along with the details of your order. We use this to process your payment, deliver your ebooks and downloads, send you order confirmation emails, and keep the records our tax and accounting laws require. This data is necessary — we cannot complete a purchase without it.

Marketing emails (only with your consent). If you tick the consent box at checkout or on a signup form, we will send you occasional emails with money tips, book updates and offers, using our email service Brevo. We do not send marketing emails without your consent. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click.

Website usage and cookies. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. This includes Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API. These tools may collect your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, and actions such as starting checkout or completing a purchase. We use this information to see which pages work, to measure whether our ads are effective, and to improve the website.

When you contact us. If you contact us by email, we keep that conversation so we can answer you and keep a record of our support.

Payments. Payments are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay / Cashfree). Your card, UPI or bank credentials are handled by the gateway’s secure systems and never reach us, and we never store them.

3. What we never do

  • We never sell your data. We never sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone.
  • No marketing without consent. We do not send you marketing emails unless you have consented.
  • No services to children. This website is meant for adults. Our content is about investing, and our products are not directed at anyone under 18.

4. Who else sees your data

We share your personal data only with the service providers who help us run this website, each bound by contract to process it only on our instructions:

  • Our payment gateway (Razorpay / Cashfree) — to accept and process payments.
  • Brevo — to send transactional and consented marketing emails.
  • Google and Meta Platforms — for advertising measurement and analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Conversions API).
  • Hosting and site services — our website hosting, security and anti-spam providers.

We will also disclose data if we are required to by law or by a valid order from a court or authority. In the ordinary course, nothing else leaves our systems.

5. Cookies

Some cookies are essential — they keep your cart and checkout working. Others (analytics and advertising, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) help us understand and improve the site. In line with the DPDP Rules coming into force, these non-essential cookies will be set only after your consent. Until then, you can already refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings without losing the ability to browse and buy from us.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Order and billing records — kept as long as our tax and other legal obligations require.
  • Marketing consent and email list — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Support conversations — kept as needed to answer you and keep a record of support.
  • Analytics and advertising data — kept according to each platform’s policies, generally in aggregated form.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act

You have the right to:

  • ask us what personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to erase your data;
  • withdraw your consent at any time — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf, in case of death or incapacity;
  • complain to us — and if you are not satisfied with our response, to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email us at pradivyams@gmail.com. We may ask a simple question to verify your identity, and we will respond, typically within 30 days. If we cannot act on a request (for example, because the law requires us to keep your order records), we will tell you why.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data: the site runs on HTTPS, payments are handled by PCI-compliant gateways, and access to customer data is limited. No system is perfectly secure — if a data breach ever occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the website after a change means you have read the updated version.
